Staying at Genting Hotel
What we could verify about the hotel itself: room numbers, check-in practicalities, the spa and a handful of house rules. We don’t list rates or take bookings — use the hotel’s own site for that.
Rooms
Genting Hotel is a four-star hotel forming part of Resorts World Birmingham, on the NEC campus. It opened in October 2015 with 178 rooms and six suites. More recent material published by the operator describes the hotel as having 184 rooms and suites in total. We could not settle on a single up-to-date figure that every source agrees on, so treat the exact room count as approximate and check current availability directly with the hotel.
We have deliberately not listed room rates anywhere on this guide. Prices change constantly and depend on dates, demand and any package booked, so any figure we quoted would likely be wrong by the time you read it.
Check-in and check-out
Check-out is at 11am. A late check-out can be arranged for £15 per hour beyond that, subject to availability, though the hotel states this option isn’t offered for suites or deluxe double rooms. We weren’t able to confirm a specific standard check-in time from a source we trust enough to print here, so confirm this when you book.
Santai Spa & Leisure Club
The hotel’s spa, Santai Spa & Leisure Club, sits on the second floor and includes a gym available to hotel guests 24 hours a day. According to the hotel’s own guidance, spa access for hotel guests runs from 3pm to 9.45pm on the day of arrival, and from 7am to 10am on the day of departure, subject to availability, with last entry at 9pm. The outdoor hot tub is closed for cleaning on Tuesday and Friday mornings until 10am. Treatments are bookable directly with Santai Spa.
Wi-Fi and house rules
- Free Wi-Fi throughout Resorts World via the “Resorts World” network
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the hotel; designated areas exist in the casino, Sky Bar & Restaurant and outside the building
- A minimum £150 cleaning charge applies if the no-smoking/vaping rule is not observed
- Breakfast is served in Sky Bar & Restaurant, 6.30am–10am on weekdays and 7am–10.30am at weekends, with brunch following until 1pm
Breakfast is bookable through hotel reception if it isn’t already included in your stay, at a price the hotel sets and can change — we haven’t repeated a specific figure here for that reason.
