Responsible gambling
Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money. This page explains our age policy, how we support responsible play, and where to get independent help.
Age policy
The casino floor at Grand Gaming Stay is open only to guests aged 18 and over. Valid photographic ID is checked on every visit, regardless of how old you appear. The hotel, its restaurants and its bar are open to guests of all ages; only the casino gaming floor itself carries an 18+ restriction.
Gambling involves risk
No game on our gaming floor offers a guaranteed outcome, and gambling should never be treated as a way to make money or solve financial difficulty. Play only with money you can afford to lose, and take regular breaks.
Our player-protection measures
- Photographic ID is checked for every guest entering the casino floor.
- Trained staff on the gaming floor at all times.
- Support for guests who wish to self-exclude, including help completing SENSE enrolment in person.
- No promotional material on the gaming floor implies gambling as a way to make money.
Self-exclusion: SENSE
Land-based casinos in Great Britain, including Grand Gaming Stay, use SENSE (Self Enrolment, National Self Exclusion) — the national self-exclusion scheme for the British casino industry. Enrolling with SENSE excludes you from every participating licensed casino in the country, not just this one. You can enrol online or in person with a manager at the casino.
Please note: GAMSTOP is a separate scheme that covers online gambling only. It does not cover land-based casinos. To self-exclude from a casino such as Grand Gaming Stay, use SENSE.
